Anchorage be da' Bomb!

After buying two mountain bikes for $59.00 apiece at Walmart in Anchorage, we set out to experience the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. Break time! The Alaska Range is in the background. This is arguably THE most beautiful bike trail (it's really multi-purpose--even used in winter for cross-country skiing) in the USA. It hugs the Cook Inlet, running for 11 miles south of Anchorage. Anchorage is a nifty city--the biggest in AK. Its combination of rustic charm, modern services and businesses, and indescribable natural beauty make it a winner.
A female moose chomping in the woods along the trail.
The Anchorage skyline from along the trail. Tomorrow we depart for Whittier and Seward. More when we have another wifi opportunity! Enjoy your summer!
